Rahul Gandhi arrived in Prayagraj on 8 August 2026 with a simple formula: borrow student anger, add sweeping allegations, repeat “dard, data aur daulat,” and hope the rhetoric outruns the record. At Chhatron Ki Goonj, genuine concerns over exams, recruitment and jobs became convenient props for a political indictment.

But slogans aren’t statistics, and outrage isn’t evidence. So we checked the claims Gandhi apparently hoped the crowd wouldn’t.
