The facts

1. The “AI will destroy India’s corporate jobs” narrative takes a technological transition and sells it as an employment apocalypse.
2. AI is simultaneously creating new roles in AI engineering, data, cybersecurity and model development, while India is expanding AI compute and skilling capacity.
3. FutureSkills PRIME alone has reached 16.29 lakh+ enrolments/training participants across AI, big data, cloud and other emerging technologies.
4. And IndiaAI now provides access to about 38,000 GPUs and 1,050 TPUs through subsidised national computer infrastructure.
5. And importantly, the latest evidence does not support the doom-and-gloom narrative. A Nomura analysis found India among the Asian economies seeing a net positive employment impact from AI so far, even as the nature of hiring changes.
