The facts

  1. Rahul Gandhi takes an arbitrary crowd of 3,000 students and assigns them fabricated probabilities across three entirely different examinations.
  2. Across the world, some of the most prestigious government exams have extremely low selection rates.
  3. IIT capacity is also far larger than the impression created by “30 students”. The 2025 seat-allotment data recorded 18,188 IIT seats allotted in the final round, including applicable supernumerary seats. Rahul's 30-out-of-3,000 formulation is therefore not an official admission statistic. It is his own hypothetical calculation.
  4. The claim ignores the massive expansion under the Current Government: IITs increased from 16 to 23, student strength more than doubled from 65,000 to 1.35 lakh, with capacity for 6,500 more students already approved.3
  5. NEET: The medical claim ignores a massive expansion in capacity. MBBS capacity has expanded dramatically: from 51,348 before 2014 to 1,39,864 at present, 172.4% increase.
