The facts
Rahul Gandhi has a long history of fabricating conversations and inventing lies out of thin air. In 2013, he claimed in an election rally that an IB officer told him Pakistan is recruiting youth whose relatives were killed in the Muzaffarnagar riots.210
The Uttar Pradesh Home Secretary stated that the government had received “no input whatsoever” from the Intelligence Bureau or Union Home Ministry about such recruitment. The state ATS chief also found nothing.211
The officer who reportedly met him flatly denied telling Rahul Gandhi about ISI recruitment in Muzaffarnagar. No report, suspect list, inquiry, arrest or prosecution ever surfaced. The Election Commission issued him a formal notice because the remarks risked aggravating communal tensions.212
He again lied about the French president telling him that there was a scam in the Rafale deal. The French government denied it causing him international embarrassment. Rahul Gandhi's second nature is lying.213
